Today, we woke up early (11am) and got ready to take the dogs to the Raccoon River dog park. What a neat place! We met Clint and Tanya there, with their dog, Ceasar. He is a boxer, and HUGE! They were also dogsitting a female boxer, Augie. Derek and Dana brought their lab, Herky and Clints mom brought her little puppy, Ginger. We let everyone run around in the fenced area for a bit, then we decided to take them down to the lake to swim.
There were various labs, weimaraners, and retrievers at the lake swimming. Then there was Buster. He jumped right in with the big dogs and was trying to retrieve tennis balls! At one point, Rob thought he might have to swim out and get Buster. Little shit, thought he could swim waaaay out with the labs.
This is what happens when a corgi swims too much...

Poor buster...
We finished up at the dog park, and headed over to Clint and Tonyas to grill out. It was sweltering. We had a good time, but im not a fan of 90 degree weather. Left about 4pm, then came home and jumped in the pool. It felt great. So, now im just enjoying the air conditioning. I dont think i would make it thru a single day with out air.
Poor Buster is limping, i think he must have slipped when getting out of the lake or something. Fed him a Rimadyl, hopefully we wont have to take him to the vet.
Thats all for now...

Great update!! What a hoot! Need you to tell me how to slip a picture into the blog like that...that is so cool. Poor buster, its a bitch being overweight in a slim world!! MOM
Oh my god, my stomach hurts from laughing at that post, and the pic of Buster half dead is a kill! I can just about imagine his fat butt in the water. When did you get him over his fear of water.. when he was a puppy it was near impossible to get him in the pool.
