Happy Birthday to me!

I have had a great day so far. I worked 1/2 day, went for sushi at lunch with my friend Laura, then came home and took a 2 hour nap. The best part?? I get to pick Rob up from Ragbrai tonight! Im driving up to Cedar Falls with Ellie to meet him. I cant wait, he has been gone since Saturday. We have only ever spent one night apart in over 6 years and neither had left Ellie overnight before.

Anyway, I know you all want more pictures of Ellie b/c she is just too stinkin cute!
As you can see, Piper is not too happy with this walking thing.

I know...

I havent posted in a loooong time! We have been very busy lately. Ellie had an excellent birthday party, even though she refused to eat the cake. So much for smashing pictures! It seems that my mission to make her hate sweets has done well, so Im not upset.
We have been busy pretty much every weekend, but that is how summertime goes. We had Shelbys birthday, a Lovell reunion and a John get-together. Good times, and lots of swimming (and eating of course). I have been bad at taking pictures, so not much to share.
Larry and Shirley got a gigantic new camper, and Shirley is going to retire on July 18. Im excited for them, retirement sounds like so much fun! (only 40 years to go for me, boohoo)
This week Rob and I split days off to take care of Ellie. Our daycare provider is on vacation this week, so I took 3 days off and Rob took 2. It was nice spending some alone time with Ellie, and Rob had a good time with her too. He took her to one of Skylar's (Shelbys half-sister) softball games with Grandpa Young. Good bonding time! ;)
Anyway, not much else to report. This week is nice since we have a holiday. I think we might try to take Ellie to the fireworks, but Im not sure how she will like the noise. I have another long weekend coming up July 21-25 while Rob is on Ragbrai. He is very excited to spend a week with his brother. Im scared to death that he will be gone for a week! Luckily, I have help next door and Im hoping Mom and Kurt will come up for a couple days.
