Aaaaah, almost done (for now)

Ellie testing out the new couch

and the chair...

Almost done! The hallway just needs one more coat of paint. So, that makes 2 coats of the tan, 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of regular paint in the hallway. Poor Rob!
Next project is the kitchen, then our bedroom but not til this winter.

Death by Piper

Rob and I were moving the furniture out of the living room tonight when I noticed Piper at the back door. I said "Oh look Rob, Piper found one of his old pheasants outside" Then I realized, that wasnt a pheasant and it wasnt a toy. It was a real BUNNY!
Then I freaked out, ran away and got the heebie jeebies. Rob is all impressed that Piper brought us an "offering" but from what I can tell its a dead rabbit. Yuck.
Of course I had to take pictures. It was definitely a blog worthy moment. ;)

Looks like it should fit!

The new paint color in the living room and dining room, hallway to be painted this weekend. I will have new pics when we are done!
Life is pretty hectic right now, Im working full time, going to school full time, helping Rob paint the house and trying to stay sane all at the same time.

Ellie Potter

So, this picture is pretty funny.

But much funnier when you remember this picture! Poor Ellie!

Ellies 15 month stats!

OMG. I knew she was growing fast, but I had NO idea!
9 month stats- 20 lbs 12 oz and 28 1/2 inches
12 month stats- 23 lbs 14 oz and 30 1/2 inches
Todays 15 month stats- 25 lbs 5 oz and 31 3/4 inches

She is at the 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. Looks like she may not be cursed with my height after all! Plus, she totally manhandled the pediatrician. Next time I am going to get a picture of Ellie with her Dr. She is a wonderful pediatrician, and Ellie loves her but she is tiny! When she tries to put the stethoscope on Ellies heart, Bean just pulls her hand right off. Stinker.

Poor Bean!

Ellie had a good week until Thursday. Tuesday night she had some Daddy time while Mommy went to her first night of school. Im completely insane and taking 11 credit hours this semester. 2 online classes at DMACC and 2 in person classes at Grand View. I love it though, its nice to work my brain again.

Jen came over Wednesday night and watched Ellie so we could go to the Zoo Brew with Tim and Nicolle. It was fun! The Blank Park Zoo has these every so often during the summer. I have never been to the zoo here, so we went. There were wine tastings (amid the smell of goat shit) and I finally found a wine I can drink. (and I did!)

Wednesday Ellie got a little booboo next to her eye. I guess she pulled a Little Tykes refrigerator over onto herself. Oh well, things happen when you try to climb everything in sight. I wasnt too impressed when I showed up Thursday and she had a HUGE goose egg on her forehead. I contemplated taking her to the ER, and called the pediatrician. The nurse gave me signs to watch for, but she seemed fine. (Thank god!) Im not terribly impressed that my daycare provider didnt call me at work to let me know what happened. Needless to say, this was the kick in the rear I needed to get Ellie into a center. We are on the waiting list for our #1 choice and should be in by spring. I had planned on switching when she was 2, so we are just a bit ahead of schedule. I cant wait for her to be with kids her own age, and watch her learn and grow in the classroom. Anyway, pictures!

Have you ever seen a kid so sad?? This was the night of her bad booboo.

Ellie has taken over Robs ragbrai beads. She wears them all over the house with her "purse" which is my camera bag.

The Hole

So, long story short we have to replace our curb box. It costs ALOT to do (ask the Lynch boys) so Rob decided to save us some money and dig the hole himself. He was told the valve thingy would be no more than 3-4 feet deep.

So, he started digging...and digging...and digging.

Keep in mind that Rob is 6'6". INSANE!
